Our Free to Roam Chickens

On Willow Way Small Holding as well as our goats, we also have over 50 hens. They are free to roam around our 8 acres of land throughout the day, and have a large, clean and safe hut to sleep in at night.

We sell our free-range eggs in an honesty hut at £1.50/half a dozen. The eggs are collected daily. We do not wash our eggs prior to selling them as we do not want to wash off the bloom (natural sealant on the shell). This protective layer helps to seal the egg’s pores, preventing bacteria from entering and keeping the egg fresh.
